These terms govern your use of this website and your subscription to The Cottage Almanac Letter and The Cottage Almanac Folio. By using this website or subscribing to any publication, you agree to these terms.

Who I am

I am Meg Darvell, trading as The Cottage Almanac, based in Baldock, Hertfordshire. You can contact me at keeper@cottagealmanac.co.uk.

Intellectual property

All content I publish on this website and in The Cottage Almanac Letter and The Cottage Almanac Folio — including text, images, illustrations, designs, and all other material — is my original work and is protected by UK and international copyright law.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, broadcast, transmit, or adapt any of my content without my prior written permission. This applies to all formats, including print, digital, and social media.

Brief quotation for the purposes of review, commentary, or criticism is permitted provided the source is clearly credited as The Cottage Almanac by Meg Darvell and a link to the original is included where possible.

The Folio — personal use only

The Cottage Almanac Folio is a designed PDF publication I deliver to paid subscribers for personal use only. You may save, print, and read it for your own enjoyment. You may not share, forward, redistribute, upload, or reproduce the Folio — in whole or in part — without my prior written permission. Each subscription is for one individual and may not be shared.

The Cottage Almanac Letter

I publish the free weekly newsletter for personal reading only. You may forward individual issues to friends who you think would enjoy them, provided the content is not altered and the source is credited. You may not republish, reproduce, or adapt my newsletter content for any commercial purpose without my prior written permission.

Images

All images I publish on this website and in The Cottage Almanac Letter and The Folio are either my own original photographs or artworks created using AI image generation tools, refined and edited by hand. All rights to these images are retained by me. You may not download, reproduce, or use any image from this website or any publication without my prior written permission.

Subscriptions and payment

I charge £5 per month or £48 per year for Folio subscriptions. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. I may change subscription prices from time to time and will give existing subscribers reasonable notice of any increase.

You may cancel your Folio subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Subscriptions are non-refundable once a billing period has begun. If you contact me within 48 hours of your first charge and have not yet accessed the Folio, I will issue a full refund as a goodwill gesture.

VAT

I am not currently VAT registered. No VAT is charged on subscriptions.
